About the brigade
Frequently asked questions
This page holds placeholder text until the brigade writes its own. Words in square brackets are still to come.
How old do I have to be?
Applicants must be 16 or older. A 15-year-old may apply if a member who has served for at least six months vouches for them.
Do I need experience?
No. Recruits are trained from the ground up. Experience in Hell Let Loose helps, but the right attitude matters more.
Do I have to be from Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the UK?
[The unit to confirm whether players from other countries can join.]
How much time do I need to give?
[The unit to state the expected attendance, for example the number of operations a month.]
Do I need a microphone?
Yes. Communication is how the unit works, so a working microphone and Discord are required.
Which battalion will I join?
Usually the one that plays in your time zone. The recruiting team will place you when your application is accepted.
How do I get promoted?
Ranks are earned through attendance and leadership. Promotions are decided by the chain of command and appear on your service record within half an hour.
My service record is wrong. Who do I ask?
Ask J1 on Discord. Service records come from the unit's own records, so the fix is made there and appears on this site within half an hour.
How do I apply?
Go to the Enlist page and fill in the application. J1 reviews every application and will contact you on Discord.
